Cleaning Fabric Blinds

Cleaning Fabric Blinds

When it's time to clean the windows, don't forget to clean your window treatments as well. Fabric Blinds can be a cleaning challenge. When removing dust and cobwebs from your fabric blinds consider this window cleaning tip: Try using the hose attachment on your vacuum to remove dust. When you need to take the shades down for an extra throrough cleaning, follow the manufacturer's care instructions. If the fabric shades can be hand washed, you'll only need mild dishwashing liquid and warm water. Wash the shades in warm soapy water, and hang them out to dry. Rather than wringing the water out, roll them up in a towel, squeezing gently as you go, to remove excess water before hanging outside to dry.
