Leather Upholstery Care and Stain Removal
Leather Upholstery Care and Stain Removal
We all love our leather furniture, but caring for it can be tough. To really protect the leather finish, clean your furniture with "real" soap products only. Use saddle soap, which comes in both aerosol form or on a paste. You can also use Ivory soap and water and just apply just the suds with a soft brush or cloth. Armor All will also work, particularly if your leather has tough stains.
Another great leather furniture tip - to keep leather supple, polish it once a month with a linseed oil and vinegar solution (use 2 parts oil to 1 part of vinegar).
You should not use any solvents or other cleaning solutions on leather. Stick to the basics and it will last you a lifetime!
