Vomit Stain and Odor Removal from Upholstery

Removing Vomit odor from your upholstery is relatively simple. First, remove as much of the vomit as possible by scraping it from your upholstery. You have a couple of options for cleansing: Baking soda is effective for removing surface odors, provided the vomit has not penetrated into the cushions. To use baking soda you need to moisten the area with clean water and then spread the baking soda evenly over the surface. Once you have spread the baking soda and rubbed it in sufficiently, you should let the surface dry completely. Finally, vacuum up the dry baking soda.

The newest technology uses peroxide and detergents to penetrate the soiled area and deactivate the odor. Simply spray a product such as Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate on the soiled area, then allow it to soak in for five minutes. Using a white absorbent cloth, blot the area, while pressing down firmly for about 30 seconds. Repeat this process until the area is dry. If the vomit odor persists, repeat the same process.
