We all have drop in guests, so what do you do when the house is a mess? If you have visitors that are coming, focus on "tidy" rather than scrubbed. First, focus on your main traffic areas, like the hallway and living room. Put away obvious clutter, and toss dead flowers, trash and any kitchen food that has been left out. Straighten the cushions on your sofa and chairs, quickly run the vacuum over the rugs and focus on creating the impression of order. Spray some room freshener or febreeze (better yet, open some windows!) and sit down with a glass of lemonade so you look like you don't have a care in the world!
